The Barnesville High School girls softball team made it five victories in a row after sweeping the Shenandoah Zeppelins in a double header Saturday.

In the opening game, the Shamrocks came from three runs down in the final inning to post a 9-8 victory over the visitors from Noble County. Catcher Carly VanFossen tripled with two on to cut the lead to one. Pitcher Justina Campbell and Hunter Weiss were both hit by pitches before the Shamrock's lone senior Kalee Temple endured a marathon trip to the plate fouling off a dozen pitches before delivering the game winning hit.

In the nightcap, Barnesville's bats exploded with a nine-run fifth inning. Paige Gibbons led the offensive charge, recording two doubles and two triples during the contest which ended 18-10.

Justina Campbell was the winning pitcher in both contests.
