UL finishes third, Barnesville fourth at Bellaire InvitationalBELLAIRE -- St. Clairsville High scored a sweep at the annual Bellaire EarlyBird Invitational on Saturday, with the Barnesville boys and girls settling for fourth place finishes.In the boys' meet, St. C. finished with 164 points, well ahead of runner-up Martins Ferry's total of 127. Union Local finished third with 72 followed by Barnesville (65), Bellaire (51), Shadyside (38) and St. John Central (35).Barnesville's boys had three winners in the meet. Brennan Delaney captured the 1600-meter run in 4:44.6; Wesley Lewis took the 3200-meter run in 10:01.5; and the 4x400-meter relay quartet prevailed in 3:39.Other BHS place-finishers: Chris Baldridge (2nd, discus, 119-6); 4x800 relay (2nd, 9:01.3); Kyle McIntire (3rd, 400, 57.7); Tyler Fitzpatrick (4th, 200, 24.9 and 4th, long jump, 18-7); 4x200 relay (5th, 1:42.9); Shuttle hurdle relay (5th, 1:16.3); Jacob Anderson (6th, 110 hurdles, 18.8);In the girls' meet, St. C. prevailed with 141 points, with Martins ferry again in second place with 121.
