Barnesville boys cross country team places first The Barnesville boys and Union Local girls took top honors in high school cross country action on Wednesday. The Shamrock boys finished with 33 points, well ahead of runner-up Harrison Central's 58. Bellaire was third with 77 and Union Local was fourth with 84. Barnesville's Wesley Lewis finished first in 17:10, with teammate Brennan Delaney one second behind in second place. The rest of the top 10 included Robert Tipton of Harrison Central (17:25); Ryan James of Bellaire (17:54); Sebastian Crys of Harrison Central (18:04); Josh Bartrug of River (18:13); Ian McConville of Belalire (18:15); Katlyn Grimes of Barnesville (18:24); Brandon Stephens of Barnesville (18:49) and Brandon Price of River (18:52). In the girls meet, Union Local totaled 50 points for the victory, followed by Harrison Central with 59, River witih 74 and Barnesville with 83. Harrison Central's Lauren Yoho and Mindy Snyder finished first and second for the girls in 20:22 and 20:23, respectively. The rest of the top 10 included Kelli Staten of Union Local (21:34); Laken Ramsey of River (22:00: Lena Partridge of Barnesville (22:01); Shana Pramik of Bellaire (22:07); Jessica Custer of Harrison Central (22:13); Anna Frazier of Union Local (22:29); Allison Healey of Barnesville (22:35) and Abby Bizzarri of Union Local ( 22:45). NEXT -- Barnesville runs in the Watkins Memorial Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 11 at 9 a.m.
