UL golf team takes top spot at Crooked Creek MORRISTOWN --Union Local emerged in the top spot on Wednesday night in a four-team prep golf match-up at Crooked Creek Golf Course. Union Local (3-0) tallied 165 to slip past Buckeye Trail who finished in second place with a score of 175. Newcomerstown finished in the third slot with 192, while Barnesville was next with a score of 208. Josh Lucas of Union Local took medalist honors with a 37 for the night. Buckeye Trail was paced by Matt Adkins with a 41, while Justin Wilson (43), Matt Daymut (45) and Jesse Roe (46) rounded out the Warriors' effort. Boss Gibson's 42 led Newcomerstown (1-2), while Steven Brooks was right behind with a 43, with Scott Neighbor (51) and Zack McKibben (56) rounding out the Trojans. Barnesville (2-5) was led in scoring by Chris Doty with a 48, while Nate Wehr tallied 51, J.C. Weiss (53) and Zach Leach (56).
