Barnesville's Heidi Hines is surrounded by Beallsville defenders -- Alexis Kanzigg (20), Madison Stephen (15) and Allison Campbell -- during the Shamrock's nail biter battle with the Blue Devils last Wednesday. Beallsville's Tori Jarrett hit a two pointer with nine seconds remaining to pull the Blue Devils to within one point, but with time dwindling the Devils were forced to foul and Shamrock senior Mariah Miller was automatic from the foul line extending the Rocks lead to 62-59 as the final ticks disappeared from the board.
Miller led all scorers with 27 points including nine of 10 from the foul line. Hines added 18 and was a perfect eight for eight from the charity stripe. Sophomore point guard Jessica chipped in with a dozen.
Blue devil center Kanzigg led the invaders offensive attack with 14, Julie Bileu netted 11 and Jarrett hit double figures with 10.
The lady Shamrocks last regularly scheduled home game will be Thursday, Jan. 28 when they host the Caldwell Redskins. The final two outings will be road trips (Feb.1) at Meadowbrook and (Feb. 4) at Union Local.
