Barnesville's Warfield captures honors at Bel-Roe tournament

MORRISTOWN -- Barnesville High's Bailey Warfield picked up another piece of hardware, capturing individual medalist honors in the annual Bel-Roe/Ohio Valley Golf League Tournament at Crooked Creek Golf Course on Friday.

Warfield carded a three-over par 74 to card the low individual round of the tournament.

St. Clairsville High regained the top spot team-wise, finishing with a 331-333 edge over defending champion Barnesville. It was the third time in four years the Red Devils have captured the league title.

Third place went to Magnolia with a 334 score followed by Buckeye Trail (355), Shadyside (356), Union Local (356), Martins Ferry (362), Beallsville (369), River (371) and Bellaire (427).

Backing Warfield for the Shamrocks were Healey (82), Doty (88) and last year's medalist, Justin Amos (89).

Buckeye Trail's individual scores included Ryan Smith (82), Jessi Roe (90), Chris Boyd (91) and Justin Wilson (92).
