Shamrock Football Camp Mighty Rocks July 11
Shamrock Football Camp Mighty Rocks for children in kindergarten through sixth grade will be Saturday, July 11 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Shamrock football stadium. The cost is $20 per child and $10 for each additional child per immediate family.
The camp motto is: "The present prepares the future." The goals of the camp are to introduce game skills and emphasize team work.
Participants should bring their own water bottle, dress according to the weather and most importantly, have fun.
The camp is sponsored by the Barnesville Football Moms and the 2009 Barnesville High School football staff and football players.
The agenda for the day includes:
8:30-9 a.m. -- arrive and sign in at the stadium, grab a piece of fruit and receive a t-shirt.
9-9:15 a.m. -- meet and greet with 2009 Barnesville Shamrocks coaches, staff and team at the field house.
9:15-9:30 a.m. -- hit the field for stretches and exercise.
9:30-11:25 a.m. --Twenty-five minute breakout sessions will be grouped according to age with five minutes between each session for rest and water.
11:25-11:30 a.m. -- tour the facilities.
11:30 - noon -- Lunch including hot dog, chips and a drink.
A ribbon ceremony will begin at noon. Adults may be seated in the bleachers. Campers, coaches and sponsors will report to the field.
