Rocks Swimmers Back in the Water
After a snow, ice, holidays, illness and cancellations, the Shamrock swimmers were back in the water this week. The team traveled north to the Stratton Community Pool to swim the Edison High School Swim Team.
"It's been a rough few weeks, with all the weather issues. The kids have only been in the practice pool twice in the past three weeks and they have been feeling it." Coach Johnson said. "We are now moving in to the part of the season where they will have to move it to the next level. Edison was a rough meet for the kids, we had quite a few kids sick and several out of town."
Edison swam away with a win for both the boys and girls. For the boys, Senior Shane Warner won the 200 free and the 50 free, while for the girls Junior Brandi Bahmer won the 50 and 100 free.
The Rocks will be at the St. Clairsville Invitational on Friday, Jan. 2 beginning at 10 a.m.
