The recipients of the 2017 Brad Detling Memorial Scholarship were announced during the senior awards assembly at Barnesville High School in May. Recipients this year were Brianna Leach and Kallee Dowler. Brianna was awarded $2,000 and will be attending Wheeling Jesuit University.

The Barnesville Exempted Village School District is seeking community input regarding the use of federal dollars for Title I, Title II-A, and IDEA-B. These federal funds supplement the state and local dollars that also provide funding for the district's comprehensive educational services.
