WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Last week U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded $126,590 to Belmont County Regional Airport Authority and the Belmont County Commissioners for upgrades to the Barnesville-Bradfield Airport.

"The Barnesville-Bradfield Airport supports tourism and commerce in Belmont County," Brown said. "This funding will improve the safety and efficiency of the airport so it can remain a reliable option for the county."

This grant to the Barnesville-Bradfield Airport will go toward the removal of runway obstructions.
