It was with great pleasure that I read the article entitled, "Work of BHS Art Students Chosen for Ohio Governor's Youth Art Exhibit." Thank you, Luke Johnson, for believing in, inspiring, and guiding these young artists.
Barnesville High School has always had a wonderful art department. I graduated BHS in 1967 having had Mrs. Peters and Mrs. Dyrdek. They were both outstanding teachers who were encouraging students, such as myself, who lacked talent but loved art. To this day I love and appreciate art.
I would like to add that I appreciate the issue of The Enterprise that includes wrtings by the Barnesville High School journalism students (The Shamrock). Having been an English teacher for 35 years, I understand and appreciate the work it takes to produce such articles.
Keep it up, Barnesville High School! So proud of my alma mater. . . in many ways.
