Book Fair Crew welcomed everyone to the fair dressed in their costumes representing different countries and served as tour guides.

It was a fun filled evening with Mr. Gruber’s Readers Theater performing on stage in the cafetorium. Students and teachers from Olney Friends School participated in the program. Alina Suresh and Stacy Isaacs, representing India, danced. Galatea, representing Japan, sang, Mandarin Chinese teacher Quan Xu, representing China, demonstrated how to make tea and let everyone try a sample. Derek Fox, representing China, played the piano. Everyone enjoyed all the performances.

In the cafetorium Mrs. Lacy Gallagher’s 5th grade displayed their social studies project, celebrating contributions of Native Americans in observance of American Indian Month and Alaska Native Heritage Month in November.

Families strolled thru the halls enjoying the art work drawn and painted by the book fair crew and Mrs. Lynn’s “Bud Not Buddy” class project. Mrs. Murphy’s and Mr. Jordan’s social studies classes had unique Egyptian displays. Mrs. Samuels displayed items from India on the way to the book fair in the library.
