“EATS, TREATS & SWEETS”

THAT’S THE theme title of the Watt Center for History & The Arts’ 2012 historic calendar and also describes downtown Barnesville this weekend during the 48th annual Barnesville Pumpkin Festival. King Pumpkin will be the prime focus, and pumpkin will be king among the sweet treats.

ARRIVING JUST in time for the Pumpkin Festival, the 2012 calendar published by the Watt Center features calendar pages with history notes from 100 years ago and accompanying picture pages of area businesses offering eats, sweets or treats. Photos are from the past and present.

CALENDARS WILL be on sale for $6 at the Watt Center during its bigger than ever used Book Sale Thursday through Sunday. They are also available at some local businesses.
