Let's recall some of the glossy words attached to falling snow. Starting with angelic, fluffy, heavenly, picture perfect, beautiful, pretty and "brings back memories." Then, we must add my thoughts "ugh!" It says it all for me and then some....

At this writing, the day is Thursday, Feb. 11. The earth around here has been heavily covered with layers of the white stuff since Friday, Feb. 5. Now that'll do it for me!

My list of must haves begins with a book of stamps as soon as we can arrange it. I just talked to my sister Martha and she's to bring me a book of stamps. That'll work. The plot thickens... daughter-in-law Kim is meeting the-man-around-the-house at the mailbox with a stamp. Team work, that's the idea!

There's a dear lady, Mrs. Gosset by name, who used to live around Salesville. If you should happen to know her where-abouts now, could you please supply me with her address? She has written me some nice letters and sent us cards and I miss hearing from her.

I expect I'd better wish a big Happy Valentine's day to our grandsons and granddaughters just in case I don't get out to do what I have planned on. Salute kiddos!

Over the past couple of months I have nearly become addicted to the program Law and Order. I'm so bad that I work my schedule around the show and have been known to watch reruns. That's the cutting edge!

If you like hot biscuits for your meal and are pressed for time and energy, try these. They go like this. Rolls --1 cup self-rising flour, 3 TBSP mayonnaise, 1/2 cup of milk and 1 TBSP sugar. Mix all ingredients in bowl and drop into greased muffin tins. Makes six. Can be doubled or etc. Bake at 350 degrees until browned. I intend to try these as soon as I get the self-rising flour!

Jim's waiting to post this letter, so Happy Valentine's to all you good little doobies.
