The few years that I have lived in the area, I find that many people live in genuine fear of many things. Teacher are afraid of the School Board, the people of Barnesville fear the village counsel, people are afraid of their neighbors.

This is not a way to live your life, in fact, fear like this may shorten your life, because of the stress it places on your body. I am not a medical doctor so I can't say this with a medical certainty, but this is what I have picked up from taking relaxation courses.

Instead of living in fear, we must face these situations and try to change them.

FDR said the day he was sworn in as president of the United States: "the only thing we have to fear is fear itself".
