James S. Myers, 67, went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017, after a brave battle with cancer.
He was born Sept. 8, 1950, in Cleveland, the son of Eugene and Lynn (Sanborn) Myers.
Jim was a graduate of Bowling Green University and recently retired after a successful career as a sales representative, selling commercial building materials.
Jim was an avid runner and enjoyed running and hiking through the neighborhood and forest preserves. He also enjoyed time in the sun on the beaches of St. Augustine, FL. He loved being a husband, father and grandfather. His first love was Jesus and he enjoyed serving Jesus through the care center, prison ministry and marriage ministries at Willow Creek Community Church.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie (nee Clift); first wife, Suzanne; sons, Chad Cranston and Brandt (Nicole) Myers; daughter, Erin (Ryan) Morgan; granddaughters, Zoe Cranston and Hannah Morgan; grandsons, Noah Cranston, Braylon Morgan, Landon Myers and Logan Myers; father, Eugene Myers; sister, Kim (Frank) Blough; mother-in-law, Betty Clift; brothers-in-law, Rick (Jita) Clift and David (Melissa) Clift; sister-in-law, Natlie Myers; and many loved nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Lynn Myers, and his brothers, Scott and Brad Myers.
A celebration of life was observed Oct. 30 at the Willow Creek Community Church. Memorials may be directed to the church.
