Robert Elmer Lucas, 86, of Delaware, Ohio, formerly of Beallsville, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2017 at Willow Brook Christian Home in Columbus, Ohio. Bob was born March 17, 1931 near Alledonia, a son of the late Howard and Stella Dornon Lucas.

He was a lifelong farmer and heavy equipment operator who will always be remembered for his readiness to help anyone with a task that they couldn't accomplish by themselves. Bob was a man of many talents and many interests. He loved attending the Barnesville Livestock Sale. For many years, each Saturday he could be found at the sale barn, checking out the livestock, visiting with friends, and enjoying the food.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, William R. "Bobby" Lucas; a daughter-in-law, Teresa Randall Lucas; a brother, Leroy Lucas; four sisters, Georgia Myers, Marjorie Crum, Flora Mae Datkuliak, and Shirley Perkins; nephews Jerry and Randy Lucas.

Surviving are his faithful wife of 69 years, Betty Davis Lucas; their children, Nancy Lucas, Toni (Mike) Kanzigg, Tim (Jill) Lucas, Clint (Colleen) Lucas, Wade (Kris) Lucas, and Jodi (Dwayne) Garrison; 19 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three step-great grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Schumacher and Sharlene LeBerth; many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Visitation was held July 20 at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville where funeral services were conducted July 21 with Pastor Jean Cooper presiding. Interment followed in Beallsville Cemetery.
