Herman E. Eddy, 93 of Cambridge passed away on July 12, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born January 26, 1924 in Quaker City to Ernest Eddy and Luella Stevens. Herman is survived by his soul-mate, Carol Bode; children, Vickie (Mike) Dawson of Arizona, Penny (Scot) Knicely of New Concord, Tammy (Larry) Grindstaff of Cambridge and Jim (Andrea) Bode of Pataskala; a brother, Virgil (Jean) Eddy of Barnesville; frandchildren, Jackie (Jerry) Lefing, Brooke (Kaleb) Mourer, Austin Carter, Gabriel Grindstaff, Tyler Knicely, Jacob Grindstaff and Dallas Bode; great-grandchild, Kolton Mourer; several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Willard (Martha) Eddy; a sister, Ruth Harris and a brother, Bert (Betty) Eddy.
He served in the Army and retired from truck driving. He enjoyed the outdoors, walking, fishing, playing corn hole, spending time with his family and especially being a papaw.
Friends were received on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Bundy-Law Funeral where his funeral service was held on Sunday, July 17 with Pastor Rodney Reeves officiating. Burial was in Pisgah Grove Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
