Phyllis V. Lucas, 87, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Ashton Creek Health and Rehab in Ft. Wayne, Ind.
Born in St. Clairsville, Phyllis was the daughter of the late John and Hannah Jessee.

She also joined medical missions to donate her nursing expertise in underprivileged areas of Central America such as Uspantan, Guatemala in Central America.
She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and mentor to her family, friends, and co-workers.
Surviving are her children; Lisa (Todd) Bush of Huntertown, Bob (Sue) Lucas of Champaign, Ill., Gene (Joann) Lucas of Larkspur, Colo., Rhonda (Ed) Chiang of Fort Wayne and their father, Robert D. Lucas, also a Bethesda High School alumnus; grandchildren, Justin, Erin, Jake, Melissa, Chris, Nick, Don, Jessee, Cooper, Kyle; great-grandchildren, Austin, Jordan, Dylan, Nick Jr, Raven, and Schylar.
