James G. DeLong, 82, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Westwood Place, Woodsfield, Ohio.

He was born in St. Marys, West Virginia on April 2, 1934 a son of the late Johnathon Nelson DeLong and Dora Ellen Cross DeLong.

Jim was a retired crane operator at the former Ormet Corporation, Hannibal, Ohio; a member of the First Baptist Church, Woodsfield, Ohio; a member of Monroe Lodge #189 F. & A.M., Woodsfield, Ohio; Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Cambridge, Cambridge, Ohio and the Osiris Shrine Temple, Wheeling, West Virginia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Bleakley DeLong on May 15, 2009; a daughter, Linda Sue DeLong; a sister, Christina Infantino; five brothers, Nelson, Larry G., William S., John C., and Robert L. Delong; and a great- granddaughter, Elle Messenger.

Surviving are five daughters, Rebecca (Dean) Westfall of Beallsville, Ohio, Darlene (Gene) Rothenbuhler of Cameron, Ohio, Vicki (Charles) Roberts of Woodsfield, Ohio, Elizabeth Ann "Beth" (Donald) Hayes of Barnesville, Ohio, Shelly M. (Bryan) Jones of Barnesville, Ohio; one son, Clifford (Anita) DeLong of Stafford, Ohio; two sisters, Lillian Kuhn of Woodsfield, Ohio, Eileen Cronin of Ellenboro, West Virginia; several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several step grandchildren, and several step great- grandchildren.

Friends were received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 SR 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio on Thursday, March 23, 2017 where funeral services were held Friday, March 24 with Keith Jones officiating. Burial followed in the Oaklawn Cemetery, Woodsfield, Ohio.

Masonic services were held Thursday at the funeral home.
