Michael A. VanDyne, 54, of Yakima, Washington, died unexpectedly June 30, 2017, as he was traveling through Washington. Born November 13, 1962 in Fort Brag, North Carolina, he was the son of Clarence and Carmen VanDyne.
He loved his family deeply; had a wonderful sense of humor; enjoyed philosophy, poetry, and fishing. He loved to travel, as he could explore, dream, and discover. He had a passion for the Native American spirituality as it teaches what is in the heart, love and respect for the land, and those who inhabit it.
In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by his daughters, Alysa VanDyne of Florida, Clarice VanDyne of Colorado; granddaughters, Gabby and Matti; sisters, Ann VanDyne of Barnesville, Ohio, Shirley Meredith of New Jersey; brother, David VanDyne of Texas; numerous nieces and nephews; and companion and girlfriend, Debra Roe.
There will be no visitation. Michael's family will have a gathering at a later date to celebrate Michael's life, sharing the many memories to be cherished forever.
The family has entrusted Michael's care with Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory Kelly Kemp Braido, Barnesville, Ohio.
