Curtis (Sharkey) L. Stephens, age 81, of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away Friday, March 17, 2017 at the Arbors at Woodsfield. He was born in Barnesville, Ohio January 7, 1936 a son of the late George and Ida Evans Stephens.
He was a 1954 graduate of Barnesville High School, and retired from the Village of Woodsfield Light Plant with 32 years of service. He was an avid harness racing fan.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers; Wayne and Harold Stephens.
He is survived by his wife Judy Arick Stephens of Woodsfield, three sons; Jeffrey Stephens of Woodsfield, Roger (Holly Roth) Stephens of Strasburg, Ohio, and David (Kristal) Stephens of Woodsfield, one brother; Marvin (Dorothy) Stephens of Piedmont, Ohio, four grandchildren; Jordan (Alesa) Stephens, Trent Stephens, Kayley Stephens, and Lydia Stephens, one great-grandson; David Stephens, and one step great-granddaughter; Olivia Fisher.
Friends and family were received Monday, March 20 at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home 100 S. Paul St. Woodsfield, Ohio and a funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 21 with Rev. David Cottrell officiating. Burial followed in the Oaklawn Cemetery Woodsfield.
