Robert William Madden

Robert William Madden, 74, a resident of North Ft. Myers, Fla. for the past 30 years, formerly of Barnesville, Ohio passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 in North Ft. Myers. He was born March 2, 1942 in Akron, Ohio to Nelson and Ella Madden, now deceased.

In addition to being a devoted husband, and grandfather, Robert and his wife owned and operated Madden's Family Restaurant in Barnesville, Ohio. Robert was also a heavy equipment operator for Operating Engineers Local 18 for many years until relocating to Florida.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Carole of North Ft. Myers; five loving children, Sherri Harris of North Ft. Myers, Mellissia Madden, Chrissy Gley (Paul), Jason Robert Madden and Erich William Madden (Grace), all of Cape Coral; five loving siblings, Helen Oliver, Betty Jones, Ruth Kubieck, Jeanie Ferguson, and Nelson Madden, Jr., all of Ohio: 11 grandchildren, Gregory, Kevin, Karissa, Amanda, Brandon, Tiffany, Kayla, Jason, Jenna, Derik and Michael; 10 great grandchildren, Gregory, Jr., Nicholas, Timothy, Aidyn, Eli, Matthew, Maddy Rose, Brennan, Jacob and Autumn; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Robert was preceded in death by a son, Robert "Bobby" Sherman D. Madden.
