Willard E. Eddy, 87, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away Monday, February 24, 2014 at Emerald Pointe Nursing & Rehab in Barnesville. He was born on March 23, 1926 in Londonberry Township, Ohio to the late Ernest and Luella (Stevens) Eddy.
Mr. Eddy was an Army Veteran of WW II. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for R & F Coal Company and a member of Barnesville First Baptist Church and VFW. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, and traveling.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death his wife Martha R. Eddy (8/1/2007); an infant sister; and brother  Bert Eddy.
He is survived by two sons Paul (Karen) Eddy of Barnesville and Dennis “Doc” (Shelley) Eddy of Barnesville; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers Herman Eddy of Cambridge and Virgil Eddy of Barnesville; sister Ruth Harris of Byesville, Ohio; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio where the services were held on Friday, February 28, 2014. Pastor Rodney West officiated. Burial followed at Crestview Cemetery in Barnesville, Ohio. Military services were conducted by Guernsey County Honor Guard on Friday at at the cemetery.
