Virginia E. Orrison, 101, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Monday, October 1, 2012 at Ohio Valley Medical Center. She was born November 25, 1910 in Belmont, Ohio, daughter of the late George Boyer and Dixie Wildman Boyer.
Virginia was the typical farm wife, spending her summers feeding hay-hands and canning and freezing fruits and vegetables from their garden. She was very comfortable in that role, as a help-mate to her husband. She will be missed by her family and her church family. She was a member of The Church of Christ in St. Clairsville, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Orrison; son, Robert Orrison; daughter, Susan Ogilbee; grandson, Gregory Palimetakis; three brothers; and two sisters.
Virginia is survived by her daughter, Eleanor (John) Palimetakis of Wheeling, West Virginia; son-in-law, Richard Ogilbee of Utica, Ohio; grandchildren, Bradley (Liz) Orrison of Columbus, Ohio, John (Jeanie) Orrison of St. Clairsville, Ohio, Sherri (Dr. Andy) Eddy of New Concord, Ohio, Jodi (Todd) Harmon of Franklin, Tennessee, Julie (Jamie) Earle of Cambridge, Ohio, Thomas (Donna) Ogilbee of Livonia, Michigan, Vickie (Kevin) Clem of Parkersburg, West Virginia, and Daniel (LuAna) Palimetakis of Maple, North Carolina; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Thursday, Oct. 4 and Friday, Oct. 5 until time of service at Kelly Kemp Braido & Patron Funeral Home, 322 North Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio. Minister Everett Hutson will be officiated. Interment followed at Belmont Cemetery, Belmont, Ohio.
