Age 74, of Cambridge died Friday morning at Countryview Living Center.
He was born July 9, 1938 in Harrison County to the late George Ferguson Clay and Virginia Mae Simpson Clay who resides at Emerald Pointe at Barnesville. He was a Methodist by faith. Jim & Anita Kay Mallernee Clay were married June 16, 1956 at Piedmont, OH. She survives along with two sons; Terence Wetzel Clay of Duluth, Ga.; Jon Derek (Sabrina) Clay and son Nathan Clay of Columbus, OH; Brother, Bruce A. (Patty) Clay of Piedmont; Several nieces & nephews.
Jim graduated from Freeport High School, 1956, and from The Ohio State University with a Master’s Degree in Animal Science. He worked as a 4-H Agent 1963-1964 in Washington County, Vo-Agriculture Teacher at Barnesville High School 1964-1970, Vo-Ag Instructor at Carrollton 1972-1975, Animal Science Specialist 1975-1987, and from 1987 until his retirement in 1995 he served as Associate Professor of Animal Science at The Ohio State University.
The Bond Funeral Home, Londonderry is in charge of arrangements.
