John Lucas
1935-2010
John C. Lucas, 74, of Flushing, Ohio, formerly of Bethesda, Ohio, died Monday, August 16, 2010 at his home. He was born December 30, 1935 in Bethesda, a son of the late Dexter Lucas and Mildred Peddicord Lucas.
John was a member of the Bethesda United Methodist Church. He was the retired general manager of Doan Ford of Morristown, Ohio with 35 years of service. He was a member of the Barnesville Elks Lodge, the Bethesda Farmers and Sportsmans Club and the the Bethesda VFW.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Toni Marie Lucas, and a sister, Betty Ann Powell.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy Powell Lucas; daughters, Beth Ann (Mike) Edwards of Bethesda, Beverly (Carl) Wright of Huntsville, Ala., Rebecca (John) Phillips, Johnna (Shane) Bashline all of Flushing; sons, Jeffry (Francine) Lucas of Gibsons, British Columbia, Mike Lucas of Flushing; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchilddren; brothers, Lonnie (Marlene) Lucas and Ronnie (Jeanette) Lucas all of Bethesda.
Friends were received Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Kelly-Kemp-Braido Funeral Home, 322 North Main St., Bethesda, Ohio where services were held Friday, August 20 with Dr. John Bashline officiating, burial in Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Barnesville Hospital, 639 West Main St., Barnesville, Ohio 43713.
