Richard D. (Dick) (Green Hornet) Cline, 89, of Barnesville, Ohio died Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at Emerald Pointe Nursing and Rehab of Barnesville. He was born March 8, 1920 in Batesville, Ohio a son of the late Melvin and Ida Mae Lashley Cline.
Dick was a Protestant, retired owner of Richard D. Cline & Sons Trucking. He served his country in the US Army during W.W.II and was a member of the Barnesville American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Marie Stephen Cline; a daughter, Helen Hunkler Stephens; an infant grandson; sisters, Melissa Baker, Maggie Moore, Emma Starr, Mary Forbes and Ann Glass; a brother, William Cline.
Surviving are daughters Linda (Larry) Marmie of Phoenix, Ariz., Judi Cline of Cincinnati, Ohio; sons, David Cline and John (Lynn) Cline all of Barnesville; 15 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
Friends were received Friday, September 4, 2009 at Kelly-Kemp-Braido Funeral Home, 702 East Main St., Barnesville, Ohio where services were be held Saturday, September 5 with Pastor Edward Eberhart officiating, burial in Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, Ohio.
Belmont Council of Veterans of Foreign Wars held military services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer Association or the American Heart Association.
