Gladys M. Flowers, 77, of Bethesda, Ohio died Thursday, April 23, 2009 at Ohio Valley Medical Center. She was born May 2, 1931 near Mt. Olivett, Ohio, a daughter of the late Leo Stubbs and Mary Burkhart Stubbs.
Gladys was retired from the Park Health Center in St. Clairsville, Ohio, a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church of Bethesda, Ohio and was active with the Bethesda Senior Citizens.
In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, John FLowers and three sisters; Marjorie West, Edna Dyer and Mildred Weeks.
Surviving are two daughters, Jodie (Craig) Tschappat and Jill (Brian) Mann all of Bethesda; a son Mike Flowers of Centerville, Ohio; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Porter of ST. Clairsville.
Friends were received Saturday April 25 at Kelly-Kemp-Braido Funeral Home, 322 North Main St., Bethesda where services were held Sunday, April 26 with Pastor Brian Bee officiating, burial in Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ebenezer Baptist Church, 307 Oak St., Bethesda, Ohio.
