Margaret Catherine (Garrett) Louthen, age 80, of Reynoldsburg, went to Heaven, December 11, 2008. She was graduated from Barnesville High School, Class of 1946, and the Mount Carmel School of Nursing in 1949. Margaret loved and dedicated her entire career and life to nursing and caring for others and was always putting the needs of others first. She always found the silver lining to all the gray clouds, with her ability to spread the feeling of optimism to all. Margaret was always a good listener and it showed just how much she cared.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William D. Louthen, Sr., and daughter, Merrijean Louthen.
She is survived by loving children, Bill (Connie) Louthen, and Constance Sue Louthen; grandchildren, Kenneth (Jamie), Maria (Dusty), Erin, and Joseph; four great-grandchildren;brother, Homer (Ruthann) Garrett; sisters, Dorothy Johnson and Martha McConnell; and many other extended family members and dear friends.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 20, 2008 at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. Pastor Maxine Smith-Pierce officiating. Contributions may be made to the Mount Carmel Foundation, c/o Mount Carmel College of Nursing, 6150 E. Broad St., Columbus, Ohio 43213.
