It is that time of the year again, the time of giving and getting.

There are many families and individuals that are really in need because of the current economic climate in America.

In some of the nursing homes and assisted living places, we have people there who don't have families who visit. There would enjoy having a family for a couple of hours.

We need to recognize these needs and help these folks the best we can. Some times just visiting for an hour would brigthen up peoples lives especially some of the elderly that are home bound. Maybe there is a home with children that could use a little magic from Santa Claus, that could be taken care of with a simple phone call, "Hello Jimmy, this is Santa..."

This should be a time of joy and good cheer, even thou times are tough, it doesn't take much to cheer up people who are not well off.

In my home, we say "Merry Christmas"
