International TreatiesApril 26, 2009
Generally, I don't subscribe to conspiracies theories and with secret government agencies going after people. But with President want to sign on to the treaties that governs North America, Central America and South America, the United States may see some of the inalienable rights that we have enjoyed for over 200 years taken away by these treaties. There would be a leveling of the playing fields between the U.S. and these other countries of the Americas. This could lead to lower pay, or jobs moving further away or we may have to lower our standards to match these neighboring countries. I am against the signing of these treaties, we need to rebuild our economy, not lower it, we need to create job growth within our country before we start talking about leveling the playing field. We need to protect our citizens first before doing anything else in the world. Jerry Smith, PhD. Comments
