The New Gun Control

Well Folks,

WE are going to be probably be faced with new and strong gun ownership regulation. The current list that the federal government was to make illegal for civilian possession starts with all hand guns, goes on to any "assault" weapons, box magazine type of rifles and shootguns. Here the list that I have seen:

(iv) a forward grip; or a barrel shroud
Any semiautomatic rifle with a fixed magazine that can accept more tha
10 rounds (except tubular magazine .22 rim fire rifles)
A semiautomatic pistol that has the ability to accept
detachable magazine, and has
(i) a second pistol grip
(ii) a threaded barrel
(iii) a barrel shroud o
(iv) can accept a detachable magazine outside of the pistol grip, an
(v) a semiautomatic pistol with a fixed magazine that can accept more than 1
rounds
A semiautomatic shotgun with
(i) a folding or telescoping stock
(ii) a pistol grip (see definition below)
(iii) the ability to accept a detachable magazine or a fixed magazine capacit
of more than 5 rounds, an
(iv) a shotgun with a revolving cylinder.

If you want to keep you guns, writing, calling or emailing your senators and congressman would be a great beginning to let them know how you feel. Then join the National Rifle Association if you are not a membeer.

As that we use firearms for hunting and varmit control, we do a real need to have firearms.
