Many people think that Thanksgiving is just to eat food with your family but that is not why we have Thanksgiving. We have Thanksgiving so we can give thanks to God for everything he has done. For some, it is a way to show thanks for Pilgrims and Christopher Columbus discovering America. For most, it is not a tie with the first Thanksgiving. It is a day to be thankful for the good in our lives. Thanksgiving is an important holiday and everyone should know the real reason for it and why we celebrate it.

For this year’s Thanksgiving, we would like to give a special thank you to all of the staff at Barnesville High School who give us the knowledge and lessons we need to do well in school and apply to our daily lives. All of the students are incredibly grateful for everything you do for us, including waking up in the early hours of the morning and putting up with us until the afternoon. A special thank you to our principal, Ron Clark, and our guidance counselor, Natasha Shilling, for being so kind and patient and helping to guide us through our 4 years of high school. Thank you to everyone who contributes to making our high school experience great. Happy thanksgiving!
