The Nonprofit Spotlight Speaker Series at Kent State University will focus on the opioid epidemic at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 18 in Room 201 in Henderson Hall on campus. There will be a meet and greet and refreshments at the conclusion of the event.

Speakers will include Travis Bornstein, co-founder of Hope United, Judge Joy Malek Oldfield and Judge Christine Croce from the Summit County Turning Point Program, and Josh Vandygriff, a Turning Point Program graduate. They will all speak about how addiction has had an impact on their lives. In addition, each speaker will offer a message about drug awareness, hope, healing and continued support.
