During show time and special events is the only times the location is open to the public and the show is a great time to visit the grounds. This years show was in jeopardy after leases was cancelled in the area back in December do to land being sold. We like to thank everyone involved that worked hard to make sure the show could happen this year at the location it has been held at since it's beginning.

It is currently in the works to have a steam traction engine to pull a piece of construction equipment for this years show. Visit our Facebook page for updates. A Cat D8 cable blade dozer recently donated by the Nick Puskarich family to the Harrison Coal & Reclamation Historical Park should be on the grounds by show time and pushing dirt.

This years show is being dedicated to Dave McDonnell from Germantown, Ohio who lost his battle with cancer this past November. Dave and his wife Nancy would bring a antique trucks and a Cat D4 dozer to the show. Dave would help operate and help others do any needed maintenance on machinery at the show.

The had some commercial exhibitors and book authors in the past including Kerry George, Author of Black Damp Century. Kerry is a former surface & underground coal miner and retired MSHA inspector. A employment recruiter for the mining industry will have a booth at this years show recruiting employees. Edgar Browning author of Ohio Road Building and related books for other states has expressed interest in being at our show this year. It will be posted on our Facebook page once we get official word that Edgar Browning will be at the show.

We hope Richard Hyde will have his display on the history of the Lima factory covering locomotives, cranes, cable hoes, shovels, and draglines again this year. The Hyde family donated a sign telling about the show at the entrance of the grounds last year.

The event has become a miners and construction workers reunion. Many people that have worked or currently still work in the mining, construction, and excavating industries have attended the show in the past. Many tell their stories of the machinery of the past and the giants long gone.
