ST. CLAIRSVILLE – Belmont College offers a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) Training Program that meets the education and testing requirements for nursing assistants as required by the Ohio Department of Health.
The 80-hour program will be offered at the Main Campus location in St. Clarsville, Ohio on Mondays and Wednesdays beginning Aug. 20 through Oct. 29, as well as Tuesdays and Thursdays from Aug. 21 through Oct. 25 from 5:15 to 8:15 p.m.
Additionally, classes will be offered Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Harrison County Center in Cadiz beginning Oct. 2 through Dec. 11, from 5:15 to 8:15 p.m. Classes will also be offered at the Monroe County Center in Woodsfield on Mondays and Wednesdays beginning Oct. 1 through Dec. 10, from 5:15 to 8:15 p.m.
Students need a state and federal background check to register.
In addition to classroom work, clinical experiences will allow students to demonstrate personal care skills in care settings under the supervision of experienced nurses. Upon successful completion of the training program, students will receive the State of Ohio Nurse Aide Certificate and be qualified to take the STNA examination.
STNA training is also a pre-requisite for entrance into Belmont College’s nursing programs.
