The second in Barnesville Hospital Foundation’s Financial Planning Series will be Financial Planning Basics, presented by Nikki V. Baker-Lude, CFP®, ChFC® of Heritage Financial and Investment Services in Woodsfield. This program will be held on Thursday, June 21 at 7 p.m. in the Barnesville Hospital Classroom.
"Everybody wants to have a solid financial plan, but over 40 percent of Americans don’t have one," said Jan Chambers, Barnesville Hospital Foundation Director of Development. "Setting financial goals and then trying to achieve them can seem overwhelming. We are looking forward to receiving input from Nikki Baker-Lude on how to set and reach our financial goals."
Financial Planning Basics will include information on how to choose a financial planner, creating an emergency fund, savings goals and how to reach them, and tracking your cash flow and net worth. Nikki will present from 7:00-8:00 PM and then there will be time allowed for questions.
"Often the hardest part for people is to know how to begin," said Nikki Baker-Lude. "During my presentation I will break down financial planning into smaller and manageable steps which will help to get people started with their financial plan and assist them to set goals which are meaningful."
Other upcoming programs include Investing and Planning for Retirement to be held on July 20 and Estate Planning which will be held on Aug. 18.
Everyone is welcome to attend to learn about Basic Financial Planning. There is no charge. RSVP’s are encouraged for planning purposes, but not required. For information or to RSVP contact Jan Chambers, director of Development at firstname.lastname@example.org or 740-425-5789.
