Summer lunch program to start

The summer lunch program will begin Monday, June 4. Volunteers be at the Main Street United Methodist Church, 230 W. Main St., at 9:30 a.m.

Tea and style show set

The Belmont County Historical Society is sponsoring a Victorian Tea and Style Show on Saturday, June 23 at 2 p.m. at the Belmont County Victorian Mansion Museum, 532 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville. The public is invited to attend. Join them in sampling Victorian delicacies at High Tea in the twin parlors and dining room. A style show featuring vintage and new wedding dresses will be presented. The style show will end with the bridal party wearing the current trend of wedding gowns of color. Reservations and pre-payment are required and due by June 20. The donation is $20. Men’s Prayer Breakfast set

B.A.M.A. Men’s Prayer Breakfast, will be Saturday, June 9 at 8 a.m. at the Main Street United Methodist Church, Barnesville.

CBAR meeting set

The Concerned Barnesville Area Residents (CBAR) will be glad to welcome Dr. Debbie Cowden and Becca Pollard of the Ohio Health Registry to their meeting on Thursday, June 7 at 6:30 p.m. at the Library Annex, 611 N. Chestnut St., Barnesville. All are welcome.

Bethesda sets additional meetings

Until the recent wave of special council meetings, the village of Bethesda’s regular meeting was the fourth Thursday of each month. Moving forward, the meetings will take place twice each month on the second Tuesday and the fourth Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

Adult summer reading program set

"Libraries Rock" will be the theme at the Barnesville Hutton Memorial Library this summer. The adult reading program will run from June 4 to July 24. They are planning many activities, including, weekly drawings, games, prize give-a-ways and blind date with a CD. Join us for a summer of rockin’ fun! For information, call 740-425-1651.

VBS program set

Children ages 4 years through those who completed sixth grade are cordially invited to attend Vacation Bible School at East Richland Friends Church. VBS begins Monday, June 11 through Friday, June 15 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. You may pre-register online at erfriends.com or you may sign up on at the door. Hope to see you there. Friends Church is located three miles west of St. Clairsville on National Road 40 between Interstate exits 213 and 215.

Cemetery meeting set

The Mt. Zion Cemetery Association will have its annual business meeting Tuesday, June 5 at 7:30 p.m. at the Mt. Zion Church, south of Bethesda. Anyone concerned with the maintenance of the cemetery may attend.

Blue Star Banner available

The Blue Star Banner is available to any Barnesville area family of a serviceman or servicewoman serving in any branch of the military, including the National Guard (active or reserve). A banner will be dedicated to the family and then placed in their window for the service member. For information or to have a ceremony, call 740-238-2137.

Coin club meets

The Barnesville Coin Club meets the third Sunday of every month, except December. The meetings are open to the public and are located at 229 E. Main St., Barnesville.
