Custodial parents are required to provide a certified copy of any child order or decree pertaining to a pupil upon registration.

Please be aware that all paperwork listed above must be received the day of registration in order for your child to be registered.

Registration does not guarantee a spot for your child in the preschool program. You will be notified by mail of your child’s acceptance into the program.

Forms will be available online on the Barnesville School website for your convenience. Please print, complete and drop off to central office at the elementary school on March 9 between the hours of 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Three preschool sessions will be in operation for the 2018-2019 school year. There will be three units in the morning that will operate from 7:45 to 11:10 a.m. There are two afternoon units in operation from 11:50 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Barnesville Preschool Program offers a wide variety of opportunities for each child to grow and prosper in all areas of development. Each child is encouraged to learn through the concept of play and hands-on activities, which is how children learn.

The Barnesville Preschool Program will operate with the belief that all children are diverse and unique individuals who have strengths and are naturally curious. Our children will be provided with an organized, child-directed, teacher-facilitated learning environment emphasizing mutual respect, fun, discovery, literacy, and sensory integration. A supportive environment will provide the conditions for all children to construct knowledge, focusing on the Step-Up to Quality Preschool Program Standards from the Ohio Department of Education. The program is constantly being altered, revised, and extended according to the needs of the children. If any prospective preschool parent has any questions, please direct them to Angela Fisher, Heidi Velas, Bridget Brooks, or at 425-3639 ext. 3015, 3148, or 3011.
