With the highly anticipated 2017-2018 NBA season approaching, I decided it would be a good to to give my thoughts on the top ten teams in the NBA and why they belong where they do.
Golden State Warriors- Do I really need to explain? Going to the finals three straight years solidifies yourself at the top of the list. It also helps having four all-stars as well.
Houston Rockets- With the dynamic backcourt of CP3 and James Harden, the houston rockets may be the biggest offensive powerhouse in the league, the defense, however, will need to prove themselves before they move up to one.
Cleveland Cavaliers- This may be a shock, however, with the injury to Isaiah Thomas, the cavs find themselves at a loss for a star point guard. We all know that Lebron will be able to carry this team throughout the season though.
Boston Celtics- Let's face it, they had a tremendous offseason. Acquiring Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward will be huge additions for this team. We’ll see how Kyrie does being the center of attention in Boston.
Oklahoma City Thunder- With reigning MVP Russell Westbrook side by side with star forward Paul George, the Thunder will easily be a top team in the West this year.
Minnesota Timberwolves- The T-Wolves are packed with young talent including Karl-Anthony Towns and Jimmy Butler, they will be forced to test their toughness this year in the loaded western conference.
Washington Wizards- The Wizards finally have some experience under their belts, and the explosive backcourt of John Wall and Bradley Beal will surely provide some firepower for this Washington team.
San Antonio Spurs- The Spurs are always a favorite to make it to the playoffs with all of their talented veterans. Gregg Popovich seems to always find a way to lead his team to the playoffs no matter who they have.
Milwaukee Bucks- Giannis Antetokounmpo has emerged as one of the rising stars in the NBA and rightfully so. Reigning Rookie of the year Malcolm Brogdon is sure to make an impact as well.
Toronto Raptors- With the experienced backcourt of Kyle Lowry and Demar Derozan, the raptors will prove to be a real havoc this year in the East.
