ST. CLAIRSVILLE – Belmont College announces the addition of Dr. Jeremy Vittek to their staff. He has assumed the role as Dean of Instruction effective Aug. 14, 2017.
"Our new Dean of Instruction will serve as a representative to the Belmont College academic community," said Dr. Paul Gasparro, President. "This new position will allow us to refine current programs, create new initiatives and continue to be the benchmark for academic degrees and technical training in the valley. We’re happy to have Jeremy on board. I feel confident he will do an exceptional job for us."
As Dean of Instruction, Vittek will oversee the assessment of student learning in order to enhance student academic achievement, while improving the teaching and curriculum delivery methods in all program areas. He will assist in the identification, design, implementation, and evaluation of credit offerings. Additionally, Vittek is responsible for assisting in the overall coordination of the instructional area, and with supervising both part-time and full-time faculty.
Vittek comes to Belmont College from Wheeling Jesuit University, where he worked as Assistant Professor/?Program Director of Professional Education since 2013. His career has included numerous higher education positions including Visiting Professor and Adjunct Professor at Wheeling Jesuit University, Student Teacher Site Supervisor at Grand Canyon University, Adjunct Professor at Northcentral University, and Adjunct Professor at West Virginia University.
Vittek earned his B.S. Ed. from Ohio University, his M.A. from West Virginia University, as well as a Master of Education in School Counseling from the University of West Alabama, and his Ed.D. in Special Education from West Virginia University.
