ZANESVILLE -- Come aboard the Lorena Sternwheeler and step back in time during the Civil War Reenactment and Encampment on the Mighty Muskingum River! This fifth annual event on July 28 and 29 will feature Civil War battles complete with cannons aboard the sternwheeler and along the shore with reenactors in period dress.

A special "Night Battle" Twilight Cruise will be held on Friday, July 28 at 9:30 p.m. and public rides are taking place throughout the day on Saturday, July 29. Rides on July 29 will feature a battle as well as musical entertainment and storytelling by Steve Ball in addition to appearances by Abe and Mary Lincoln and a Civil War surgeon display. Reservations are still available for the Friday "Night Battle" but are extremely limited for the Saturday rides as many are already sold out. Rides are $15 per person.

The public is also invited to visit the Civil War Encampment at Riverside Park throughout the day on Saturday, July 29 where there will be reenactors and a view of the Lorena in action.
