NEW PHILADELPHIA -- Weather permitting, Interstate 70 traffic may experience some slight delays over the next month for various construction projects in Belmont County.

Between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., the existing intermittent outside lane closure on I-70 westbound at the Commons Mall Crossing project will be extended for the next month to complete all the substructure concrete pours for the north side of the bridge.

Beginning Thursday, April 27, there will be intermittent lane closures on I-70 eastbound from 4 a.m. to 5 p.m. to place concrete pavement for the next month as part of the $11 million, I-70 bridge replacement project at Lady Bend Hill. This work is expected to be completed by May 25th.

On Wednesday May 3rd, weather permitting, there will be nighttime lane closures on I-70 from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m. at the County Road 78 (Plainfield Road) bridge replacement project for a deck pour. If inclement weather, it will be rescheduled to Thursday May 4th.

Plan ahead to avoid delays.
