On Thursday, April 13, the Junior Women's Club of Barnesville once again sponsored hands on demonstrations from local artists in hosting their annual Youth Art Fair in the Barnesville Middle School gymnasium. The educational event, under the direction of art teacher, Mrs. Marge Young was available to 5th grade students and is an opportunity to introduce them to various forms of art.

Artisans who volunteered their time and expertise this year were: Shelley Rockwell, quilting; Trish Doherty, macrame; Martin Wach, bee care and children's book author; Delia Wach, children's book author; John Duch, stained glass; Doug Lawrence, chair caning; Gary Wershing, iron/metal works; Melissa Carpenter, cake decorating; Twila Fisher, painting; Rebecca Crum, miniatures; Donald and Marlene Barbs, jewelry making. Making presentations from the Belmont Count Soil and Water Conservation District were Abbey Hayward, water cycle; Samantha Hearn, soil; and Liza Butler, furs. From the 4-H Belmont County Extension office were Crystal Antill and Jane Keyser, with a science presentation entitled, "Hands on a Stick."
