Barnesville -- The First United Methodist Church Hearts In Service group will be sponsoring an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Barnesville Memorial Park for area youth 4th grade and younger. Parents and youth are to gather at the Albert S. George Youth Center prior to the 1 p.m. start time. The event will include a visit from the Easter bunny, activities and refreshments to follow at the youth center. Parents are encouraged to bring a camera for pictures with the Easter bunny and youth need to bring a basket or bag for collecting eggs. In the event of bad weather, the Easter bunny, activities and refreshments will be held inside the youth center.

Belmont -- The Belmont Easter Egg Hunt to be held at the Belmont Gym on April 15 at 11 a.m.

Age groups: toddler and pre-K, K - 1st Grade, 2nd-3rd grade, and 4th and 5th Grade. The egg hunt includes over 5,000 eggs with candy. Many of the eggs in each age or grade category have prize tickets in them which can be redeemed for prizes after the hunt is over.

The hunt is free, however, the village of Belmont will take donations and also will be raffling off ($1 per ticket or six for $5) several cool prizes after the hunt is over. The pictures below show some of the items being raffled. All proceeds from the raffle will go toward the playground fund.

If you wish to purchase raffle tickets BEFORE the egg hunt on Saturday, please pick them up 9 a.m. -noon on Wednesday,Thursday  or Friday at the water office in the lower level of the Belmont Elementary School building.
