March 12th marked the beginning of Girl Scout Week with Girl Scout Sunday, and it runs through March 18. Scouts all across the United States will celebrate the founding of the Girl Scout program.

The Barnesville Service Unit has 11 troops in Barnesville and Beallsville for girls in grades K-12. Barnesville Service Unit troops are all very active, attending special events such as Nailers Hockey game, working on badges, having a New Year's Eve Eve Party on Dec. 30 where scouts enjoyed a craft, prize, and a D.J. to ring in the New Year, participated in the Christmas parade, and more.

For Girl Scout Week, troops are donating Kleenex, hand soap, sanitizer, etc. for their meeting places along with canned goods for St. Vincent De Paul.

A total of 268 cases of nut products, and 1,223 cases of Girl Scout cookies were sold by the troops in the Barnesville Service Unit.
