By demonstrating compliance with the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization's national standards for health care quality and safety, Morristown Pharmacy & Homecare has earned the Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval.

"We sought accreditation for our organizations because we want to demonstrate our commitment to client's safety and quality care, Mary Beth Mazoch, RPh-director said.

"We view obtaining Joint Commission accreditation as another step toward achieving excellence," Lisa Whitacre, DME manager said.

In becoming accredited, Morristown Pharmacy & Homecare was evaluated against a set of national standards by the Joint Commissions' surveyor. Achieving accreditation demonstrates Morristown Pharmacy & Homecare's commitment to providing high quality and safe care to it's clients.

The award of Accreditation is for a three-year period ending February 2012.

Founded in 1951, the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations seeks to continuously improve the safety and quality of care provided to the public through the provision of health care accreditation and related services that support performance improvement in health care organizations. An independent, not-for-profit organizations, the Joint Commission is the nation's oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in health care.

Morristown Pharmacy & Homecare (Belmont County Health Services, Inc. dba as Morristown Pharmacy) was established July 15, 1987.
