Newcomerstown Cy Young Youth League Boys Coach Pitch Tournament

The Newcomerstown Cy Young Youth League will hold a Boys Coach Pitch Tournament Friday June 30, Saturday July 1 and Sunday, July 1 at the Newcomerstown Cy Young Youth Fields. The entry fee is $200. The tournament format with be double elimination. Players are eligible as long as they do not turn nine years old prior to May 1. The registration deadline is June 25. Volleyball Officials Class at Claymont

The Eastern Buckeye Volleyball Officials Association will have training classes for prospective volleyball officials starting June 1. The cost is $100 and includes a whistle/lanyard, line-up cards, red/yellow cards and rule books. A total of 25 hours of training is required. The class schedule includes Thursday, June 1 from 5-9 p.m. at the Claymont Administration Building in Dennison; Monday, June 12 from 5-9 p.m. at New Philadelphia High School; Tuesday, June 13 from 5-9 p.m. at the Claymont Administration Building; Monday, June 19 from 5-9 p.m. at New Philadelphia High School; and Tuesday, June 20 from 5-6 p.m. at the Claymont Administration Building.

Volleyball Officiating Course

The West Virginia and Ohio Volleyball Officials Association is sponsoring a 28-hour course in the fundamentals of volleyball officiating beginning Monday, June 5 in Martins Ferry. Dog and Jog 5K Family Run/Walk at CHS

Cambridge High School Mothers for Runners will be hosting a "Dog and Jog 5k Family Run/Walk" on June 10 at Cambridge High School. The Cambridge cross country course will be utilized.Registration begins at 7:30 with event start at 9 a.m. Cost is by donation. Treat bags will be given to participants. Muskingum University Soccer Camps

Muskingum University Men's Soccer is offering a series of Soccer Camps for boys and girls ages 6-15. Girls/Boys ages 6-9: June 21-23 from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Single day price $20 or 3-day price i$50. Girls/Boys ages 10-15: June 21-23 from 5- 8pm. Single day $40 or 3-day price $100. Boys ages 16-18: June 19-20 2-day college prep camp with head men's coach Chris Limle. Cambridge Color Craze 5K Walk/Run

The 4th Annual Cambridge Color Craze 5k Walk/Run will be Saturday June 17. This is a fun filled event for people of all ages! Come out dressed in all white and leave COLORFUL! Register by May 31 and the cost is $25 for 13 and up, $15 for ages 6-12, and under the age of five is free. The cost will increase after May 31. Byesville/Cambridge Macker Registration

Registration is now open for the annual Byesville/Cambridge Gus Macker 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament slated July 8-9 on the Meadowbrook High School campus in Byesville. The mail-in registration deadline is June 16 while on-line registration continues until June 19.

The cost for a four-person team is $140.

'Pickleball' Returns to Cambridge

"Pickleball" at Cambridge City Park has returned, with games played across from the tennis courts. Scheduled summer play times will be Saturdays from 8-11 a.m. and on Sunday evenings from 6 p.m. to dark. Free lessons for beginners will take place on Sundays at 6 p.m. for those 14-over, and equipment will be provided. For more information, call Ted or allison Bailey at 740-489-9204.

Muskingum Girls Roundball Camp

The Muskingum University basketball program is now accepting registrations for its Muskingum Girls Roundball Skills Camp. The camp is scheduled June 23-24 and is open to any girl entering grades 4-12. The cost of the camp is $150 and includes lunch each day. Cincinnati Reds Legends Clinic

The annual Cincinnati Reds Legends 3-day youth baseball and softball clinic will take place June 19-21 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. daily at the Vienna (WV) Recreation Sports Complex. The cost is $75 if signed up by June 1, with the deadline to register June 12. There are only 125 spots available. Legends expected to attend include Todd Benzinger, Ron Oester, Scott Williamson, Leo Cardenas, Stephen Larkin and Herm Winningham. To register, call 740-373-3476.

Tennis Leagues at Barnesville Park

With the arrival of spring, the tennis nets are up at Barnesville Memorial Park and tennis leagues will start in May and run through July. There will be play for beginner, intermediate and advanced for men, women and children. Lessons will be available to sharpen your skills. A new event this year will be mixed doubles. Muskingum Roundball Skills Camp

The Muskingum University men's basketball program is now accepting registrations for its Muskingum Roundball Overnight Skills Camp. The camp is scheduled June 25-28 and is open to any boy entering grades 4-12. The cost of the overnight camp is $295 and includes all meals and accommodations in newly air conditioned college dormitories or $200 for commuter campers. Mount Union/Cambridge Wrestling Camp

The University of Mount Union and Cambridge High School have partnered for a summer wrestling camp slated June 26-27 at CHS. Mount Union's first-year head wrestling coach Josh Malave will head the clinic staff. The cost for the two-day camp is $50. Check-in each day is at 8:45 a.m. with session one from 9:30-11:30 a.m. followed by a lunch break (on your own) and session two from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Participants should bring wrestling shoes, extra workout clothes, food for lunch and water.

Red, White & Run 5K in Zanesville

The Red, White & Run 5K will take place at the Muskingum Rec Center in Zanesville on Tuesday, July 4 starting at 8 a.m. Registration is available on line (www.muskrec.org) and costs $25 until July 2 and $30 after that date, with those pre-registered by June 19th guaranteed race T-shirts.
