On Friday, April 21, the Barnesville softball team held a Suicide Awareness game in honor and memory of their senior classmate Caleb Williams, who passed on February 18, 2017. Caleb's family, dad David, mother Billie, and brother Noah, were invited to the game as well as Brenda Doty, who lost her son Christopher on April 30, 2012. The team sold T-shirts and collected donations which were presented to the newly formed Belmont County Suicide Prevention Coalition treasurer, Pastor Ted Buehl. The donation was made in Caleb's honor and amounted to $1,039! The team would like to thank the community, including the Buckeye Trail Warrior community, for their donations, Art Works for the custom shirts they designed and printed in time for the game, W.D. Skinner & Son and Wendi Skinner for their donation of the game uniforms. Buckeye Trail won the game 7-1.
